Background
Prior to Revix joining forces with Altify, we were brought on to assist them with ensuring that their website was cleaned up and optimised from a search engine optimisation point of view. Revix’s website had been through a number of changes over the months and there were legacy issues involved with the domain that we needed to clean up for them. The crypto space is complex when it comes to how Google views a website, and as such they needed a skilled team to take them through it.
Success Drivers
Keyword Research – Revix’s pages were correctly positioned from a keyword point of view. We performed a great deal of keyword research and isolated the terms that we would be able to work into the various pages on the website. From a legislative point of view, this was an involved process but we ultimately implemented from meta data, keyword positioning and created the correct keyword to page associations on the website. This process alone brought increased rankings to the website within a handful of weeks from deployment. Those keywords that we identified that could not fit into the current structure, we put forward to their content team to start building out content. Unfortunately, the internal process was slow and then the merger occurred so we didn’t have a proper chance to benefit from a content strategy.
Technical Maintenance – There were a lot of issues on the Revix website from a technical SEO point of view, and performing updates on the website was complicated based on the platform it was running on. We performed detailed audits on the website to isolate all issues, and potential issues, and briefed the changes in with the CTO and team. We further worked with the team to ensure that all technical matters were correctly implemented. Almost immediately, we could see that pages were being indexed far more easily, and for the terms we wanted them to rank for.
Tracking – The Revix website lacked elements of tracking so we worked with the team to figure out what they wanted to track and put the correct matters in place via Google Data Studio and Google Analytics. Gathering this enhanced data allowed us to put forward strategic recommendations to ensure that the correct target audience would be reached and that any rollout on the website would be done in a manner that would be most appreciated by Google.
Rollout – During the process, the Revix team wanted to roll out some changes on the website with regards to the different cryptocurrencies and bundles they offer, we advised them on the correct process for this, and all updates performed on the website were incredibly well-received by Google and immediate results were seen.
Outcomes
Although we only had the opportunity to work with the team for several months, before the merger, we saw some fantastic results in a short space of time.
- The rankings on the website were in decline when we got involved, within 3 months we had changed this around and pages were appearing far higher in the search results.
- New pages that were created on the website ranked quickly followed all the technical implementation.
- Conversion tracking showed us strong growth after 3 months of work with no signs of it slowing down.
