Background
For over 20 years, Plantation Shutters® has been working alongside acclaimed architects, designers and homeowners to create beautiful security, timber and aluminium shutters that add value and elegance to every home. We offer superior quality custom-designed, adjustable louvre window and door shutters and dividers, made using only the premium aluminium and the finest solid timber.
Plantation Shutters® approached us in 2017 seeking assistance with their digital marketing, specifically having their website managed from an SEO perspective and to get a Google Ads account up and running, and performing. We worked with Plantation Shutters® from 2017 to 2023 until economic pressures and a change in their focus saw us parting ways, sadly.
Success Drivers
Planning – With competitors such as American Shutters, Trellidor, Magnador, and a long list of others, it was crucial that we planned really carefully. We did deep competitors analysis to understand what they were doing, which keywords they were focused on and where their positioning was. This allowed us to put a strong plan together.
Execution – With a strong plan of action, execution wasn’t complex. We rolled out the plan and quickly started gathering as much data as we could so as to optimise the Google Ads account as well as the Search Engine Optimisation.
Maintenance – With a company that doesn’t change frequently and operates in a very specific niche, maintenance is everything. One cannot set and forget, so we deviced a specific maintenance schedule which had us performing daily, weekly and monthly tasks. This schedule was reviewed deeply every year to ensure that it would cater for market changes.
Reviews – We did quarterly reviews on competitors, performance and other areas to ensure that we kept moving in the right direction from Plantation Shutters®.
Outcomes
The fact that we worked with Plantation Shutters® for 6 years speaks for itself. We achieved some excellent results, kept their lead pipeline full and are really sad that economic pressures and a changing landscape resulted in us having to shake hands and part ways.
We can’t simply say that and ignore the numbers, we achieved a conversion rate of 17.6% over the 6 years with an average cost per lead of R47.82. In a competitive industry such as this, we’re incredibly proud of both the conversion rate and cost per lead.
