Background
Helderberg Village is a luxury retirement estate, situated at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain in Somerset West. The team wanted to boost their social media presence and the Facebook page was created toward the end of 2017.
At this point, we became involved in the project. We were commissioned to assist in creating a Facebook community for Helderberg Village based on best practices to increase the online presence and awareness of the Village on Facebook. With this goal in mind, we strategically curated content and created a posting schedule to grow their page and optimise it’s performance.
Success Drivers
- Content Creation – We investigated themes and activities that are applicable to the Helderberg Village audience and created content for posts based on it. For example, posting about upcoming events at their clubhouse or properties for sale.
- Social Media Schedule – The client needed someone to manage their Facebook account, both organically and in terms of boosted posts. We created a social calendar and strategically planned posts based on when their audience would be most active.
- Online Presence & Brand Awareness – Our team’s ultimate goal was to grow a community of followers that frequently visit and interact with the Helderberg Village page and/or website.
Outcome
Within the first year, Helderberg Village’s Facebook page grew from strength to strength.
- During the first six months of 2018, the page likes grew by about 32%.
- From July 2018 to November 2018 the Facebook page grew by a further 29%.
- Year on year, starting 30 November 2017, the page’s total number of likes grew by over 52%.
From hereon out we investigated more metrics to get an overall picture of the Facebook page’s performance to provide the team with any useful statistics about audience targeting, highest converting posts, and competitor insights.
